Blog 12: Neighborhood Values
The people in my neighborhood value their money and their pride in community. I value my community as well and the way others view it as a whole. I value my family and the safety of them in our neighborhood and daily lives. Based my utopia you would think that these things are important to me. In my utopia, I say I would want my family and loved ones to be there with me in this sunny, beautiful, heaven-like place. I know that I could have all the superficial things in the world and I still would not be complete without them.

My Neighborhood:
The "neighborhood" I come from is called Springboro, Oho. It's a small little town that prides itself our their sports teams. I love going to high school there. It wasn't too small of a town where everyone knew your name, but it wasn't too big to where you never saw familiar faces. It's just right for me. I think it's a perfect place to raise a family and get your life started at. Everyone in Springboro is fairly wealthy so sometimes it seems as though everyone is competing to have nicer things, and the town can be pretty gossipy. But there's downfalls in every town or neighborhood. I couldn't have asked for a better place to call my home, I'm proud of where I come from!

On the walk with Robert Gilbert it was harder for me to get intrigued because it's just things I'm not really interested in. But it turned out that I learned quite a bit of information from our walk with him. I thought it was really cool how they made those race cars that move from energy from the light. I thought Robert Gilbert had a lot of useful information to share but I enjoyed our previous walk more.

My Utopia:
If I could create any place to be my own it'd probably be a place that I hope my heaven will be like. I want it to be sunny and beautiful all the time. I want it to have an ocean and my favorite candies and foods that grow off the trees. I want my family and everyone I love to be there too. I would want there to be tons of flowers and plant life around. It's kind of hard for me to think of things like this since I'm such a realist, but if I could imagine any place to call my own this is what it would be similiar to.

The last argument I got in was with my mom. We argue a lot just because we're a lot alike. This fight was about her car. We have to share a car right now because I don't have my own car anymore. It causes a lot of problems. She complains when I use her car but yet she won't help me pay for another one. We were both working on the same day and I needed to take her to work so I could use the car and for some reason she didn't want me to. It was really dumb. I guess if someone had to win it would have been me because I ended up taking her to work and then using her car so I could drive to work.

Before the nature walk I had mixed feelings about it. I didn't see how going on a walk would benefit any of us in this class. But now I'm very glad we did it. I had a lot of fun! And for some people I can see how nature would give them something to write about. I don't really get much inspiration from nature but I do see the beauty of it. I'm really glad we did it!

I normally just hate revising papers, I feel like after I finish a draft then that is the best it can be. But I've slowly been learning that that's not true at all. After my peer responses I knew I needed to add more detail. I think with all the extra detail I added you will be able to feel as though you're there with me, or you'll know exactly how I feel. That's what I'm hoping for!
